Last Updated: 12 June 2025 · Effective: 12 June 2025
1. Definitions
- "Agreement" means these Terms and Conditions as amended from time to time.
- "Course" means any programme offered by Latent Bazaar, including Practical Computer Vision Engineering, Retrieval Systems and Model Evaluation, and the Enterprise AI Enablement Programme.
- "Latent Bazaar", "we", "us", "our" means the business operating at 2 Lebuh Farquhar, 10200 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia.
- "Learner", "you", "your" means any individual who enrols in a Course or submits an enquiry.
- "Enterprise Client" means any organisation enrolling a cohort of learners in the Enterprise AI Enablement Programme.
- "Content" means all course materials, written feedback, assessment records, session recordings, and other materials provided by Latent Bazaar in connection with a Course.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enrolment application or payment for a Course, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. You confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are enrolling on behalf of an Enterprise Client, you confirm that you have authority to bind the Enterprise Client to this Agreement.
3. Service Description
Latent Bazaar provides online AI development courses delivered via live sessions, written materials, code review, and assessment. The scope, prerequisites, weekly hour requirements, and deliverables of each Course are described on our website and in the course enrolment documentation. These descriptions form part of the Agreement.
Courses are available to learners in Malaysia and internationally. Latent Bazaar reserves the right to decline an enrolment where the learner does not meet the stated prerequisites.
4. Enrolment and Accounts
Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment (or first staged payment for Enterprise Clients). You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide during enrolment. Access to course materials and sessions is non-transferable — you may not share your login credentials or allow another individual to attend sessions or submit assignments in your place.
Latent Bazaar may terminate your access to a Course if you breach this Agreement, including by sharing access credentials or submitting work that is not your own.
5. Learner Responsibilities
- Submit your own original work for all assignments. Submitting code or written work produced by another person or AI tool without disclosure is a breach of this Agreement.
- Attend live sessions and office hours where required by the Course structure.
- Use course materials solely for your own learning within the enrolled cohort.
- Treat instructors and other cohort participants with respect in all course communications.
- Not reproduce, distribute, or publish course materials without prior written permission from Latent Bazaar.
6. Intellectual Property
All Content provided by Latent Bazaar — including course materials, session recordings, and written feedback — remains the intellectual property of Latent Bazaar. You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use this Content for the purpose of completing the enrolled Course.
Code and written work you produce as course assignments remains your intellectual property. For Enterprise Clients, the shared internal codebase produced during the Enterprise AI Enablement Programme is assigned to the Enterprise Client on completion and full payment of the programme fee.
Assessment records issued by Latent Bazaar are factual documents describing work you completed. You may share them freely.
7. Payment Terms
All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payment is due in full before course access is granted, except for Enterprise Clients where staged payments are agreed in writing during the scoping study.
- Practical Computer Vision Engineering: RM 475 per person
- Retrieval Systems and Model Evaluation: RM 1,640 per person
- Enterprise AI Enablement Programme: RM 4,390 per engineer in cohort
Refund policy: A full refund is available if you withdraw before the course start date. After the course start date, no refund is available unless the Course is cancelled by Latent Bazaar. For Enterprise Clients, refund terms are set out in the scoping study agreement.
Payment methods accepted include bank transfer and online payment via our payment processor. Invoice payment is available for Enterprise Clients.
8. Course-Specific Terms
Prerequisites: You are responsible for confirming that you meet the stated prerequisites before enrolling. Latent Bazaar does not issue refunds on the basis that a learner found the Course more difficult than expected due to unmet prerequisites.
Assessment records: Written assessment records are issued to learners who complete all required assignments and the final assessment. Partial completion does not qualify for an assessment record.
Enterprise scoping: The Enterprise Programme does not begin until the scoping study is complete and the curriculum draft is approved in writing by the Enterprise Client's engineering leadership.
Scope: The course description, including the "who this is not for" statement, defines the scope of the Course. Latent Bazaar does not adjust course scope after enrolment to accommodate individual learner preferences.
9. Disclaimers
Courses are provided on an "as delivered" basis. Latent Bazaar makes no representations about career outcomes, employment prospects, salary changes, or any commercial result arising from completing a Course. We teach engineering practice; we do not represent what the market will do with that practice.
Course materials reflect the knowledge and practice of instructors at the time of delivery. AI and machine learning fields change rapidly; some specific tools or APIs discussed in a Course may behave differently in future versions.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Latent Bazaar's liability to you for any claim arising from this Agreement or your participation in a Course is limited to the total fees you paid for the relevant Course.
Latent Bazaar is not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profit, loss of data, or business interruption, whether arising in contract, tort, or otherwise.
Force majeure: Latent Bazaar is not liable for failure to deliver a Course due to events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, infrastructure failure, or public health emergencies. In such cases, Latent Bazaar will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or provide alternative delivery.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Latent Bazaar, its instructors and staff from any claim, loss, or expense arising from your breach of this Agreement or your use of course materials in a manner not permitted by this Agreement.
12. Termination
Latent Bazaar may terminate your access to a Course with immediate effect if you breach this Agreement. On termination for breach, no refund is payable. Latent Bazaar may cancel a Course cohort if minimum enrolment numbers are not met, in which case a full refund will be issued to all enrolled learners.
Sections 6 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Disclaimers), 10 (Limitation of Liability), 11 (Indemnification) and 13 (Dispute Resolution) survive termination of this Agreement.
13. Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from this Agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
Before initiating legal proceedings, either party agrees to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by written notice to the other party, allowing 30 days for a response and good-faith discussion.
14. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: This Agreement, together with any course-specific enrolment documentation, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Latent Bazaar for the relevant Course.
- Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Waiver: Failure by Latent Bazaar to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under this Agreement. Latent Bazaar may assign its rights in connection with a business transfer.
- Notices: Notices under this Agreement should be sent to [email protected] or by post to the address below.
15. Changes to These Terms
Latent Bazaar may update these Terms from time to time. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. For enrolled learners, the terms in force at the time of enrolment apply to that enrolment unless you agree in writing to updated terms.
